Candle light wake keep for Prince Noel by friends and relatives(Photos)

Yesterday Sunday 2nd of March, friends,family and well wishers of the late Prince Noel of 'Imo got talent' talent hunt; held a candle light wake keep for him.

"Friends and relatives of late Prince Noel Tochukwu Unegbu have held a candle light Wake Keep for the deceased show promoter who met his untimely death on February 4, 2014,when he was shot by two gunmen in his hotel room in Owerri. The event which had youth leaders, and the Chief Press Secretary of Imo State Deputy Governor, Hon. Uche Onwuchekwa in attendant was held on Sunday at Heroes Lounge in Owerri. Speaking at the event, Hon. Onwuchekwa described Prince Noel as someone who dedicated his life to helping others. He call Noel a man of sincerity; a courageous person who always did his best to encourage others. He also called for an end to gruesome murder of youths in the state. Giving his testimony like others at the event, the National President, Orluzurumee Youth Assembly [OYA] and the Chairman, Prince Noel: Bring the Killers to Justice Committee, Comrade Precious Nwadike describes Prince Noel who was also a member of OYA, as a visionary youth whose dreams of fishing out talents in the state should be followed up after his death. The event was officiated by Pastor Don Nzeben who prayed for an end to untimely death of Imo youths. The next thing is for his friends and well-wishers to turn out en masse on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at his home town Umuanukpa, Akwu, Akokwa in Ideato South Local Government Area of Imo State where his funeral will be holding. In another development, members of Prince Noel: Bring the Killers to Justice Committee will be holding a press conference on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Nigeria Union of Journalists headquarters in Owerri, to push the police into releasing the motive behind the killing of the deceased. It will be noted that Imo State Commissioner of Police, Abdulmajid Ali has paraded the alleged killers who were identified as students of Eze Charles Nnamdi and Maduabuchi Augustine 22 and 20 years old respectively, saying that the motive of the killing was sensitive".

Stop calling me a praise singer, Cynthomania cries out

Artistes are usually hammered because of the kind of music they do, which has become the case of Imo State born artistes cum fashion guru, Cynthia Akudo Jonah popularly known as Cynthomania aka Ada Owerri, who recently did a song titled ‘Imo State Ebeano’.
 The song which is already gaining massive airplay in all radio stations based in the state, has names of some politicians mentioned on its last verse and comments have been popping up calling Cynthomania the next political praise singer in town.
The Mbieri born artiste has however reacted to those statements, saying they are none of her business.
She said “I wasn’t hyping any politician nor party, I just did a song to talk about what I have seen presently in Imo State because it is much better than what it used to be”
Cynthomania who has been touring other states and countries for music and fashion also added that she did the song because she believes in the state and Igbo culture.
“Most people find it difficult to associate themselves with their state and culture, but I’m not that type. I’m proud of who I am and I if have another chance to hype my state or culture on a song, I’ll gladly do it. People can talk, but I am neither politician nor praise singer but an artiste” She added.
Cynthomania already has three videos shot by each of Patrick Ellis, Clarence Peters and Kuty with of the tracks ‘Love Nwantinti’ done with Timaya.
Imo State Ebeano and Oringo are the two tracks Cynthomania is using to hit the eastern musical scene and soon the songs will be on every single blog rooted in all South East states and beyond.
